A fine blue stripe on white, with a scalloped edge along the neckline, armhole and short hem. The scallop is cut into the cloth rather than added as a trim, which is more work and looks it.
The top buttons through and has a slight peplum at the waist — a shape borrowed from daywear that makes this the one you could plausibly answer the door in.
